After riding my new Fuji Nevada mountain bike to the Edmond Liberty Fest Independence Day Parade with my Toyo VX-125 film camera loaded into my bicycle panniers, I found a spot across from UCO clock tower to capture this photo on Kodak TMAX-100 black and white film. It is always difficult to frame these photos just right. I had to wait for the right moment to capture the horses, but the riders turned to look at something across the road right before I snapped the shutter. Oh well, if I wanted to better capture the action I would shoot with a DSLR or maybe my Pentax 6×7 film camera.
Back to some photos of the Rio Grande River. This is looking back at the John Dunn Bridge over the Rio Grande, just west of Arroyo Hondo. This is probably my favorite picture of the river and the bridge. The sky is not over-exposed, I like how the river leads my eye into the frame, and I just like the overall look of this picture. The only way to make it better would be to have someone leading a loaded donkey up the road!
Once again I took this photo with my Toyo VX-125 4×5 view camera on Ilford HP5 film using my Rodenstock 135mm lens.
While I was out and about shooting my Toyo VX-125 film camera near Red River, New Mexico, I drove up a road out of town and came to a dead end – Snowmobiles only. I have ridden my motorcycle up this trail several times in the summer but have yet to jump on a snowmobile and give it a whirl. I set up quickly and grabbed this picture on Kodak TMAX-100 film.
Next up is this sheet of Ilford HP5 I shot just west of the John Dunn Bridge over the Rio Grande River. I was there taking pictures with my Toyo VX-125 4×5 film camera when these three people pulled up and started chatting with me. One of them said he mother used to use a view camera and he knew a few of the terms. They asked if I would mind taking their picture. Why sure, I would love to take your picture!!
One hundred shots! Whoopee! Nothing special on this image unfortunately, just another shot of the Rio Grande River just west of Arroyo Hondo in New Mexico. This view is looking south of the John Dunn Bridge over the Rio Grande River. I tried to capture the leading line of the river going into the frame. I wish I had used a filter to darken the sky, but oh well. Once again this was shot on Ilford HP5 that I thought was TMAX-100 film so the image was overexposed, but I was able to save it during scanning. Shot on my Toyo VX-125 4×5 film camera using my Rodenstock 135mm lens.
